As the competitive warranty landscape continues to evolve, our customers have challenged us to become more aggressive with our factory warranties to better compete.
Effective May 1st, 2009, select York products will include a 10-year factory warranty option on parts, including compressors. This warranty option is only applicable to the original owner and is non-transferable. There will be no additional charge for this upgrade. To activate this warranty option, qualifying products must be registered online via York.com, yorkupg.com, upgproductregistration.com or upgnet.com within 90 days from the date of installation. When all requirements are met, the product will be updated with the new ten year parts and compressor warranty and will be visible through UPGNET in the Warranty Verification screen. If the qualifying products are not registered within 90 days from the date of installation, the warranties will begin upon product shipment from the Company.
Eligibility: Product installation and registration on or after May 1st, 2009. Residents in some states and provinces are not required to register to receive the 10-year warranty. However, proof of purchase or installation may be required at time of service for installation verification. Although all the York sales literature will not reflect this added warranty immediately, we are working to make the updates available as quickly as possible. For existing equipment in the “channel” that may not have the updated warranty documentation, we have posted a letter along with this M-letter detailing this new warranty option. This letter is to be given to the homeowner purchasers of these products by dealers-contractors to educate them about the new warranty changes. In order to comply with federal statutory requirements, a copy of the Limited Warranty must also be included with this letter. In addition, a copy of the Limited Warranty must be provided with every warranted product. We are in the process of preparing “10-Year Warranty” sticker sheets which will soon be available for order in the MAC.

Heat Pumps - YZH, YZE, YZB, YHJF, YHJD4, THGD4, THRD (R22 Products Are Not Eligible)
Gas Furances - YP9C, YP8C, YM9M, YM8M, TM9X, TM8X, TG9S, TG8S, TM9V
Air Handlers - AVY, MV, AHX, AHP, MA, FFP
Evaporator Coils - MC, FC, PC, UC, HD
Package Units - DNX, DNY, DNQ, DNZ, BHX, BHZ
