York is pleased to announce the introduction of the new Federal Tax Qualifying 14 SEER Affinity package unit lines. There is a gas-electric package unit version, model number DNQ and a package heat pump version, BHQ.
DNQ Package Gas / Electric Units:
This new 14 SEER offering is designed to meet customer’s needs when two stage cooling operation is not a requirement and a lower cost single stage cooling solution is needed. The new DNQ product meets both Energy Star and CEE Tier two efficiency levels for both SEER and EER and qualifies for IRS tax credits put in place with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The new DNQ models are offered from 2-5 tons and offer field installed options such as single enthalpy economizer, fresh air dampers, electric heaters and a host of other accessories. Key benefits of the new Micro-Channel condenser coil on this product are a reduced R-410A refrigerant charge, increased coil durability, corrosion protection and less overall unit weight. DNQ units are currently available and will be in stock shortly.
BHQ Package Heat Pump Units::
This new 14 SEER / 12 EER packaged product offering is designed to meet customer’s needs with a product that is both competitive and allows customers to take advantage of the new Federal Tax Credit. The new B*HQ units utilize a single scroll compressor and swept wing condenser fan for economic, quiet operation. Thermostatic expansion valves on both the indoor and outdoor coils and an ECM evaporator fan motor provides both efficient operation and consistent comfort across a wide range of outdoor temperatures. The new B*HQ models are offered from 2-5 tons and will offer field installed options such as single enthalpy economizer, fresh air dampers, electric heaters and a host of other accessories. Products will be in production late October.
