York Introduces ClimaTraK Technology on Variable Speed Air Handlers
April 19, 2005

As a follow up to the recently released Affinity furnaces featuring the new ClimaTraK Comfort System, we are pleased to announce that the Variable Speed Air Handlers (NVS, FFV) will now feature the ClimaTraK Comfort System. ClimaTraK offers a premium based performance feature with Regional settings to customize the ECM blower performance in the cooling mode based on geographic location and optimize the total indoor comfort.

By setting the appropriate jumper pin on the control board dealers will have the ability to select from the following four settings: standard, humid, dry, and temperate. Each setting provides different blower performance during cooling operation for increased homeowner comfort and reduced noise.

Standard Setting: 30 second ramp up, full capacity, 60 second off delay, 30 second ramp down.

Humid Climate: 30 second ramp up, 60 second 50% capacity, 30 second ramp up, 5 minutes 82% capacity, 30 second ramp up, full capacity, 60 second off delay, 30 second ramp down.

Dry Climate: 30 second ramp up, full capacity, 60 second off delay, 30 second ramp down, 1 minute 50% capacity, 30 second ramp down.

Temperate Climate: 30 second ramp up, 90 seconds 63% capacity, 30 second ramp up, full capacity, 60 second off delay, 30 second ramp down, 30 seconds 63% capacity, 30 second ramp down.

With this exciting new technology and control dealers will be able to offer homeowners unprecedented comfort and noise reduction. Production of variable speed air handlers with the ClimaTraK Comfort System will start in May. This technology will also be incorporated into the next generation Affinity variable speed air handlers with the "Affinity" furnace appearance to be introduced in the 4th quarter 2005.
