York to Introduce Next Generation Coils and Air Handlers 1Q 2006

Throughout the last 12 months, York has been aggressively pursuing the design and development of a new residential coil and air handler product platform. This new platform is being developed to improve our customer value proposition and support the high-end retail replacement system sales effort as well as the entry level new construction business. Each of these new product families have been designed and optimized around 13 SEER and R-410A refrigerant and will ultimately replace the existing line. This memo will serve as the first of a four part communication series throughout the next 6 months to provide you with the latest information to support your launch and transitional
efforts.

What?s Coming? ? A New Line of:
-Single Piece Air Handlers
This will be featured with a 4-way multi-position capability. Consistent with the furnace line, there will be an Affinity style product with the Affinity furnace look for the high-end retail replacement segment as well as a Latitude style version for the entry-level business.

-Modular Air Handlers
This product will continue to support applications with space constraints or airflow/capacity mix matches for both single speed and variable speed applications.

-Evaporator Coils
Will feature an array of configurations consistent with the current offering along with a few additions to round out the offering and provide a greater breadth. Each of these new products above carry a wealth of new features geared at improving the value proposition and support the customer buying cues from an Installability, Serviceability and Saleability standpoint. Notable Features ? Listed below are just a few notable features. Additional details will be
provided with subsequent communications.

Residential Product News
? TXV?s ? To enhance the flexibility and insure optimal performance with each applied system, there will be two sets of sku?s for each product family. One set will feature a factory installed R-22 valve and the other set will feature a ?Flex Coil?. Flex coils will have no metering device installed from the factory and will require the field installation of a TXV. The flex coil may accommodate either a R-22 TXV or a R-410A TXV. The field installation method of our valves has also been modified to allow easier and more efficient installation of the valve. Benefit of Flex Coils: Allows the use of a common sku for markets utilizing both R-22 and R-410A. Additionally, it will require fewer sku?s when matching the same coil with different outdoor units.

? Air Tight Cabinet Design ? Each of these cabinets have been designed to the highest standards to meet and exceed the most stringent air leakage standards.

? Dual Drain Openings ? Each drain pan is constructed of a thermoset material and features dual openings to allow greater flexibility for various piping configurations.

? Multi-Position Convertibility - Each multi-position coil is configured with the horizontal drain pan permanently installed to enhance the overall quality and robustness of the coil assembly. These applications are now configured for Upflow/Horizontal Right and then may be converted for Downflow/Horizontal Left. Converting to a Downflow/Horizontal
Left configuration is as simple as sliding the coil out of the cabinet, inverting the cabinet and re-inserting the coil.

? Patent Pending Heater and Blower Assembly ? Each of these assemblies has been redesigned to provide more convenient Serviceability and enhance the overall quality of the product.

? Enhanced Control Features ? New control provides LED for fault code diagnostics, combination screw terminal w/quick connects for low voltage wiring, and enhanced IAQ features.

? Enhanced IAQ Focus ? Indoor Air Quality awareness continues to grow each year. As a result, each of these new products will contain a variety of features to support and compliment any of the add-on IAQ devices on the market today.

? Full Line of Accessories ? Each product family will be supported with a full line of ancillary products to support the application requirements.

? Retail Replacement focus ? A dedicated line of ?Affinity? models consisting of high end, retail driven value added features that will compliment this platform as well as the Affinity family of products.
